JOB- Network Facilitator, Human Devel. Policy & Res. Network, UNDP, Bratislava

The Human Development Policy and Research Network (HDPN) – an
expansion of the Economic Policy Institute Network (EPIN) - seeks to
support and promote initiatives aimed at improved understanding of the
economic aspects of human development, social inclusion and
strengthening regional cooperation in Eurasia. At the moment, the
Network is looking for a Facilitator to support the implementation of
the activities related with the Human Development Umbrella project and
will be responsible for the online facilitation of HDPN.
In particular the Network Facilitator will:
* Contribute to the development of the concept of HDPN website
(general information, database of institutions, database of tenders,
database of research papers/articles, database of experts,
registration, e-learning platform, thematic windows etc.) under the
supervision of a Project Manager/Policy Advisor. The starting point is
the already established EPIN network (www.epinetwork.org);
* Regularly update/upgrade the website as needed;
* Facilitate (e-facilitation) the network, by producing regular
updates/newsletter, keeping email communications, and promoting
effective participation of members;
* Support and help formulating the HDPN marketing strategy and
marketing products;
* Draft correspondence, and some sections of programme documents,
reports, and presentations upon supervision;
* Maintain contacts with the software developer company;
* Assist in the organization of related workshops, seminars, and
round tables;
* Provide translation form English to Russian and vice-versa, when required;
* Carry out other project-related (Human Development Umbrella) duties
as assigned by the Project Manager / Advisors.
The network facilitator is expected to work part-time (3 days per
week) and will have an office in the UNDP premises (Bratislava,
Slovakia). Travels in the Europe and CIS might be expected.
Required Skills and Experience:
* University degree (bachelor's or master's);
* Minimum 1-2 years of work experience;
* Proficiency in corporate software (Microsoft Office Package);
* Proficiency in website management (web content management);
* Experience in an international working environment is welcomed;
* Proficiency in English and Russian (required);
* Excellent communication and writing skills;
* Spirit of initiative and adaptability.
