Call For Applications

Regional Consultants Capacity Building Certificate Program on Human
Rights Sensitivity and Conflict Awareness for Central Asia and Afghanistan

The OSCE Academy announces a call for applications for the Regional
Consultant Capacity Building Certificate Program in organizational
development/project management with a special focus on human rights
and conflict awareness for Central Asia and Afghanistan.

The objective of the program is to strengthen civil society and
government capacity. The Program consists of seven modules and field
assignments. Upon completion of the Program each participant will have
to design a conflict preventive and/or human rights sensitive
development project. Certificate shall be issued on condition of
successful completion of the training.

The initial planning session will take place from 28 to 30 January
2009. The modules are scheduled to start in September 2009. Classes
shall be held the whole working day. Participants must attend all
lectures and classes.

Venue: OSCE Academy, Bishkek, Kyrgyz Republic
Period: throughout 2009
Target group: civil servants, civil society, development professionals.

Eligibility criteria:
- Citizenship of one of the following countries: Afghanistan, Kazakhstan,
Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan or Uzbekistan;
- Good knowledge of English;
- Relevant working experience (NOTE: This is an essential criteria);
- Ability to attend all modules.

Curriculum Vitae and a letter of motivation in English (up to 700
words) are to be submitted in ONE electronic file to the address:
training@osce-academy.net or in a sealed package ref: "Consultant
Capacity Building Training" to the address below not later than
Friday, 26 December 4 pm local time Bishkek.

Documents by fax are not accepted. Applications that come after the
deadline will not be considered.

Short-listed candidates will be invited for a planning session between
28-30 January 2009.
