Post-doctoral Teaching Fellowship
Bennett College, Greensboro, North Carolina

One-year post-doctoral teaching fellowship position in Russian
Studies, beginning in August 2009. The fellow will be involved with
the undergraduate educational program at Bennett College, including
teaching, curriculum development and instructional design, and will
work closely with experienced faculty. The successful candidate will
be expected to teach three courses per semester and participate in the
College's interdisciplinary programs, including the Global Studies
Seminar. Candidates must be able to offer Russian studies courses that
contribute to offerings in one or more departments or
interdisciplinary programs. These interdisciplinary offerings might
include, but are not limited to, courses in Russian language,
comparative literature, cultural studies, gender studies, ethnic and
post-colonial studies, film studies, music and theater. Native or
near-native fluency and Ph.D. expected. Funding is available for the
reimbursement of initial relocation expenses, as well as a yearly trip
to a conference or workshop. Closing date for applications: April 3, 2009.
