CFA- Summer Seminar on Ethnobiological Research Methods, Kyrgyzstan, 21-26 July

"Taalim-Forum" Public Foundation in the framework of "Place-based
education: communities outreach" Project supported by the Christensen
Fund (USA) is organizing a seminar "Ethnobiological Research Methods".
The project is aimed at strengthening the capacity of local
communities in comprehensive studying of their places of living.

Instructor: Gary Martin (Global Diversity Foundation, UK)

Language: English, Russian. Translation will be provided.

Seminar is aimed at helping young scientists, specialists and
researchers, interested in the issues of ethno-ecology/bio-culture,
studying traditional knowledge, and preservation of natural and
cultural diversity.

In this seminar participants will:
* Acquire skills to organize and conduct ethnobiological research;
* Master methods of biocultural diversity research;
* Find new perspectives for implementation of the knowledge and
skills acquired in their own professional and research activities.

The selection of participants will be conducted on a competitive
basis. Faculties, researchers and senior students from Kyrgyzstan,
Kazakhstan and Tajikistan are welcome to apply. Application and essay

Participation expenses will be covered by the host organization.
