Job Announcement
Position: Project Coordinator for the Social Research Center
Place: Social Research Center, AUCA

The Social Research Center at American University of Central Asia is
seeking an individual for a full-time position of Project Coordinator.
This is a very stimulating and challenging position with considerable
opportunities for creativity, grantsmanship, and collaborative work
with the AUCA and external researchers.

Major Responsibilities:
- Manage small-sized research, education and advocacy projects in SRC
- Maintain dialogue with existing stakeholders and establish contacts
with new donors
- Assist in development of concept papers, detailed research
proposals and budgets
- Investigate funding opportunities and identify target sources of
financing to support new research projects
- Assist in development of financial reports to donors about ongoing
and completed projects
- Keep records of funding as well as grant proposals and monitor timelines
- Assist in organization of roundtables, forums and public lectures
to promote open dialogue and communication between academia,
government, civil society, and business

Qualifications:

Applicants should have:

Education: Master's degree in any discipline of social sciences

Experience: Professional experience with at least 3 years of experience in
project design and management.

Language: Fluency in English and Russian, Kyrgyz language will be an asset.

Skills: Strong fund-raising skills
Strong analytical and writing skills
Sound communication, presentation and negotiation skills

Other: Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to handle multiple
tasks and work as a team member.

Information on organization: The Social Research Center (SRC) was
established in October 2005 ar American University of Central Asia.
Its mission is to promote the long-lasting development of principals
and practices of democracy, free market, rule of law, and social
equality in Kyrgyzstan through research, publications,
interdisciplinary studies, conferences, roundtables, and networking.
One of strategic goals of SRC is to improve and contribute to
policy-making process in Kyrgyzstan by carrying out policy analysis
and research, fostering substantive policy dialogue between
government, academia, civil society, and business. For more detailed
