Call for Applications

US-Mongolia Summer Fellowship Program

The American Center for Mongolian Studies (ACMS), with funding support
from the American Overseas Research Centers Program of the US
Department of Education, is pleased to announce the third year of the
ACMS US-Mongolia Field Research Fellowship Program to support student
field research in Mongolia in summer 2008.

The program will provide $500-$2000 grants to approximately 3-4
students from US universities or Mongolian universities to conduct
field research in Mongolia between May and October 2008. Applicants
must be either US or Mongolian citizens or permanent residents
currently enrolled full-time in a university or college in the United
States or Mongolia. The field research project should last a minimum
of 6 weeks. Mongolian students are required to work with a Research
Adviser from a US-based institution, while US students may work with
either US or Mongolia based Research Advisers. Funding is very limited
this year, and students are encouraged to seek supplemental funding
from other sources and to indicate on their applications these
additional sources of funding.
